Sporthotel Hochlienz

Great hotel, especially for hikers. Already on the balcony you have an amazing view. Great starting point, you are already in the middle of the Lienz Dolomites. With the Osttirol Card (for 79 euros) you can use all cable cars (and many sights), so it's also great if you're not that good on foot. We were in the Almdorf, on the ground floor, everything was clean, the facilities were ok. Of course, there is a special flair in the attic, because here you can enjoy the raw beam construction in all its glory. Service 1a, the concept with the extended half board is also great - that's all you need to have an all-round wonderful holiday. We will be back!

We had an alpine apartment type 30 - very rustic and traditionally furnished. Nothing was missing. Bathroom very clean and new. The house is a bit noisy, but you're outside most of the time anyway. Breakfast including packed lunch was very good and generous. Dinner varied, theme evenings, change of menu and buffet, overall very good quality. The included drinks round off the perfect overall impression. The very familiar and warm atmosphere from the boss to the service is definitely worth highlighting and unfortunately is no longer a given these days. Table tennis and an indoor swimming pool were the highlights for our children. Otherwise, the Osttirol Card is highly recommended, we had 3 in 7 - that would give us very flexibility. Access is only possible via a toll road, a weekly pass is worth it to explore the area. Our highlights were the Adlerlounge in Kals, the Osttirodler summer toboggan run or the Galitzenklamm. We can recommend this hotel and especially the apartments to all families who value summer holidays in the mountains and a warm atmosphere.
